Silk as fairytale. I love the romantic and elegant illustrations of Scotsman Marco Kinloch, featuring imaginary kingdoms in faraway places. With entrepreneur Antea Brugnoni Alliata, he opened Roi du Lac in 2016. The first boutique opened in Rome in 2020, housing prints drawn by Marco celebrating the pairs’ wanderlust. The collection includes clothing, home furnishings and accessories.
The kaftans are made of giant scarves printed in Como, Italy, and finished by hand in Milan. Each one expresses a different, intriguing pattern or fable.
